I moved to the US from Russia in 2014. While in Russia, I worked with my private high school chemistry tutor at a gifted children's school. I served as her teaching assistant, developing organic chemistry presentations and teaching to the class. I graduated from Bunker Hill Community College with the intention of enrolling in an accelerated PharmD program at a top institution. I intend to study biotechnology in the future as well. As a Russian student, I have a strong foundation in mathematical material, such as trigonometry, calculus, and geometry. While enrolled at BHCC, I served my fellow students as a math tutor using my communication skills to explain the same concept in a variety of different ways. I am well-versed in physics, chemistry, biology, and other science subjects. Since all students learn differently, I believe it is important to identify the ideal approach in working with an individual student. One-on-one learning can be individualized to suit their learning style, skill level, and goals. I continue using innovative teaching materials, such as games, rhymes, and PowerPoint presentations to build skills and knowledge. In addition to science and math, I can also tutor students looking to learn or improve their fluency in Russian. In my free time, I enjoy reading poetry and literature.
